Oriental keyboard.

The oriental keyboard is a fascinating instrument that blends traditional sounds with modern playing possibilities in a unique way. In oriental keyboard lessons at Music Campus Bielefeld, you'll learn how typical oriental scales, ornaments and rhythms work, and how to play this distinctive sound yourself. The characteristic sound of oriental music is instantly moving and creates a special atmosphere. In oriental keyboard lessons in Bielefeld, you'll get to know well-known melodies from Arabic and Turkish music while also understanding the musical foundations behind them.
Later, you'll be able to accompany freely, improvise and develop your own style. Playing the oriental keyboard trains your ear, finger dexterity and sense of rhythm, and opens up a whole new musical world. At the same time, the oriental keyboard pairs beautifully with modern music. Whether pop, dance or digital music production, the instrument offers plenty of creative ways to combine traditional sounds with modern ones.
Notes between
the keys.
An oriental keyboard can do what a piano cannot: quarter tones. Choose a maqam. The marked keys (♭½) sound about a quarter tone lower, as in Arabic music. In Turkish music these steps are often a little finer still. Play with the mouse or the letters on your keyboard, and add the darbuka.
